Book Description from B&N:

High school sophomore Daisy Jones is just trying to get by unnoticed. It doesn’t help that she’s the new girl at school, lives in a trailer park, and doesn’t even own a cell phone. But there’s a good reason for all that: Daisy has a secret, unpredictable power—one only her best friend, Danielle, knows about.
Despite her “gift” (or is it a curse?), Daisy’s doing a good job of fitting in—and a cute senior named Kevin even seems interested in her! But when Daisy tries to help Vivi, a mysterious classmate in a crisis, she soon discovers that her new friend has a secret of her own. Now Daisy and her friends must deal with chilling dreams and messages from the beyond. Can Daisy channel the power she’s always tried to hide—before it’s too late?

will spend a night together like none other.

Lauren Kate's FALLEN IN LOVE is filled with love stories . . . the ones everyone has been waiting for.

True love never says goodbye. . .

Review:

This was a great collection of stories.  I thought it was great how Lauren Kate managed to have everyone travel though out all time and still make all the characters have individual stories that flowed well together.  It was writing at its most supreme.
I wont go into detail about every story but I was so excited to see that Luce and Daniel finally got to spend a Valentines Day together.  It was a very heartfelt and romantic story.  I look forward to reading the next and last book in the series!

Cover Reveal: Angel's Ink

I am so excited about Jocelynn Drake's new series!
The cover for Angel's Ink is gorgeous.
The book will be released on October 16th.

This is the book description copied from Jocelynn Drakes Blog

Looking for a tattoo -- and maybe a little something extra: a burst of good luck, a dollop of love, or even a hex on an ex? Head to the quiet and mysterious Gage, the best skin artist in town. Using his unique potions -- a blend of extraordinary ingredients and special inks -- to etch the right symbol, he can fulfill any heart's desire. But in a place like Low Town, where elves, faeries, trolls, werewolves, and vampires happily walk among humanity, everything has a price.

No one knows that better than Gage. Turning his back on his own kind, he left the magical Ivory Towers where cruel witches and warlocks rule, a decision that cost him his right to practice magic. If he disobeys, his punishment -- execution -- will be swift.

Though he's tried to fly under the radar, Gage can't hide from powerful warlocks who want him dead -- or the secrets of his own past. But with the help of his friends, Trixie, a gorgeous elf who hides her true identity, and a hulking troll named Bronx, Gage just might make it through this enchanted world alive.

Well... What do you think?  Do you love it or hate it?  Let me hear what you think!

Review: Intuition

Intuition

Young Adult
Ebook
18 pages
October 17, 2011

Summary from Goodreads:

Luke and his twin sister Sera have unusual abilities. Hers is a gift—she can heal with a touch of her hand. His is a curse—he can see the future but he can’t do anything about it.

On a hike up the mountain, Luke has a vision unlike any other—one that leaves him terrified. Knowing that it will come true—and that he must do everything in his power to stop it—leaves his own future uncertain.

Review:

I just want to start this review by talking about the cover art.  I just love the font for the title.  It is overall  a beautiful cover.  I really hope someday we get it in print.

I really enjoyed this short story.  J. Meyers did a wonderful job of pulling me into the story the moment I read the first sentence.  I stayed enthralled all the way till the end and even then I was left wanting more!

Luke and Sera are twins with unusual gifts.  Luke can see the the future although so far he has not ever been able to change it.  Sera can heal people but she has no control over how much healing she completes.  They dont want anyone to know their secret so they keep it to themseleves.  They seem to have such an amazing bond even for twins.

This prequel set the stage perfectly for the next book Intangible.  There is a dramatic cliffhanger at the end of this story so be sure you have the next book ready.  The ending of Intuition completely caught me off guard.  I look forward to seeing where Meyers takes us next!

Summary from Goodreads:

Don't Close Your Eyes.

Sophie Cavanaugh is not going to let her freak of a cousin's strange psychiatric condition ruin high school for them both. Not after all the work she's put into cultivating the right look, and friends, and reputation. But then, Sophie sees something so frightening she lets out a blood-curdling scream—and finds herself stuck in a bizarre parallel world where nothing is safe and deadly creatures lurk just out of sight, waiting for her to close her eyes and sleep...forever.

Could this world be real? Or does insanity run in the family...?

Review:

First let me just say that I Hate Sophie. I just cant stand her and I really hope she dies by the hands of a Demon. I'm sure this Novella was wrote to make us understand her a little more but I can't stand her.

That being said, I did enjoy this book, I enjoyed the new reactions to the underworld. I'm really curious about where all the new info is going to lead in the coming books. Sophie showed a lot of bravery and she seems to have developed a brain in this book.  I hope it is a trend that will continue.

At the end I'm left wandering.... is she a banshee or something else, whats the new guys' secrets and how will this effect the series. I think that while this isn't my favorite soul screamers book (note: I hate Sophie) it contains vital info for the next and final book.

Review: Reaper

Reaper (Soul Screamers, #3.5)

Young Adult
Dec 1st 2010
Ebook
64 Pages
Harlequin Teen

Summary from Goodreads:

Tod Hudson was a typical teenager. He liked girls, sports, food and tolerated his younger brother, Nash. In fact, he had his whole life in front of him--and due to his bean sidhe heritage, it was going to be a very long life indeed. And then the car accident occurred.
Suddenly Tod's future wasn't so sure, and he had to make a choice. Life... Death... or something Between....

An ebook exclusive Soul Screamers series novella.

Review:
Throughout the soul screamers series I always thought that Tom was a smart-assed Reaper with a chip on his shoulder. However seeing him as a human and the love that he had for his brother made me fall in love with him.
Tom sacrifices everything to give his brother a chance at life. He is just an amazing character.

The only negative thing I have to say is that I didn't think Harmony's reaction was very real. She acted as if she would rather lose her son than have him as a reaper. I think I would be thrilled to get my son back if he died.

overall I really enjoyed this back story. It helped me love Tom. I loved seeing the good side of him and it makes me look forward to seeing where this series heads to next!
